Dust Trap description is wrong
"When Dust Trap is triggered, every second (for 5 seconds), all nearby foes are blinded for 3-7 seconds and take 10-22 earth damage. While activating this skill, you are easily interrupted. Dust Trap ends after 90 seconds."
Earth damage is elemental, so armor should affect this, but it doesn't. I tested it with my Warrior (140 AL with sentinel's + Dolyak Signet) and my Monk (60 AL) with the traps left by Rockshot Devourers in the desert. In both cases I took 21 damage each second.
If it IS meant to be earth damage, then armor should affect the damage to the target, otherwise the description should be changed to just "damage" or "this damage ignores armor," etc.

It is armor ignoring like crystal wave and obsidian flame. Takes usually means that they enemy takes exactly what the skill says as damage.

..
Obsidian flame and crystal wave doesn't deal earth damage, but just "deal damage".
Crystal wave even lists that it ignores armor
"Foes near you are struck for 10...82 damage, but are cured of any negative Conditions. This Spell ignores armor and magic resistance."
Skills that deal earth damage shouldn't ignore armor because it's elemental.
Skills that just "deal damage" should ignore armor.
Dust trap's description says it deals earth damage, but it ignores armor, it shouldn't.
Dust trap doesn't have any "this trap ignores armor" in it's description, so the descritpion is wrong.

The magic question is, does it trigger Storm Chaser? If it does it probably is earth damage, it just happens to ignore armor as well. Stranger things do exist in the game.

It does give energy under Storm Chaser, I just tried it with my Ranger. So it's elemental, but armor-ignoring. Go figger.
